The Top 25 Drunkest Cities in America

The Daily Beast is back with their second annual list of The “Drunkest” Cities in the U.S.!  They looked at residents’ drinking habits in over 200 cities, from the average number of alcoholic drinks per month to percent of residents who are either binge drinkers or heavy drinkers according to the most recent data from the CDC. They narrowed it down to the 25 booziest places in the U.S.

The drunkest city dwellers drink up an average of 15.5 cocktails a month, and 1/5 of them are binge drinkers. Think it’s your city? Find out below, and see which other cities are throwing em back!

25. Houston: 14.3 average monthly drinks consumed per person; 6.1% of population are heavy drinkers; 15.4% are binge drinkers

24. Norfolk, Va.: 13.5 average monthly drinks consumed per person; 5.2% are heavy drinkers; 20.2% are binge drinkers

23. Cleveland: 13.2 average monthly drinks consumed per person; 6.3% are heavy drinkers; 18.2% are binge drinkers

22. San Francisco: 14.9 average monthly drinks consumed per person; 6.1% are heavy drinkers; 14% are binge drinkers

21. Providence, R.I.: 13.9 average monthly drinks consumed per person; 5.7% are heavy drinkers; 17.6% are binge drinkers

20. Bismarck, N.D.: 14.3 average monthly drinks consumed per person; 4.7% are heavy drinkers; 18.4% are binge drinkers

19. Seattle: 14.1 average monthly drinks consumed per person; 6.1% of population are heavy drinkers; 16.9% are binge drinkers

18. Lincoln, Neb.: 13.4 average monthly drinks consumed per person; 5.9% of population are heavy drinkers; 22.7% are binge drinkers

17. Sioux Falls, S.D.: 13.3 average monthly drinks consumed per person; 6.4% of population are heavy drinkers; 19% are binge drinkers

16. Buffalo, N.Y.: 13.1 average monthly drinks consumed per person; 8.7% of population are heavy drinkers; 19.4% are binge drinkers

15. Ft. Myers, Fla.: 13.9 average monthly drinks consumed per person; 9.5% of population are heavy drinkers; 15.6% are binge drinkers
