(PCM) Everyone is excited to get their hands on the magical beverage known as the Unicorn Frappuccino from Starbucks. The drink was originally part of the coffee chains “secret menu”, however Starbucks has now revealed that the sweet and sour beverage will be made available for a limited time as a regular menu item.
The bright pink and blue blended beverage has everyone freaking out and it seems that as you continue to drink the Unicorn Frappuccino it will even change colors as you stir it around. The one thing we have to question a little bit is the taste. According to Starbucks, the Unicorn Frappuccino blended crème is made with a sweet dusting of pink powder, blended into a crème Frappuccino with mango syrup and layered with a pleasantly sour blue drizzle. It is finished with vanilla whipped cream and a sprinkle of sweet pink and sour blue powder topping.
Like its mythical namesake, the Unicorn Frappuccino blended crème comes with a bit of magic, starting as a purple beverage with swirls of blue and a first taste that is sweet and fruity. But give it a stir and its color changes to pink, and the flavor evolves to tangy and tart. The more swirl, the more the beverage’s color and flavors transform.
Some people are already complaining via social media that the sweet and sour tastes do not blend together well, but hey it’s worth it if it look pretty, right? We might have to go grab one just to post pictures online, as we would probably rather look at this enchanting drink rather than actually consume it! Is that wrong?
So guys, on April 19th, Starbucks is launching the all-new Unicorn Frappuccino®. Here’s an in-depth review. A mango creme frappuccino with a couple of pink powder scoops, sour blue syrup drizzle, and whipped cream sprinkled with blue and pink powder. What could be better? About anything on the menu (except that Slightly Sweet Chai crap that we launched a couple of months ago). The first sip I took when I tried it was great. It reminded me of a mango smoothie. Then, I took another sip; a strawful of sour blue goop coated my mouth in the process. The drink is good for any kid who loves sour candy and has underdeveloped taste buds. The drink is just a hot mess with a cute appearance. Rate: 3/10
If you want to catch this mythical beverage before it’s too late, you better hurry as the Unicorn Frappuccino will only be available from April 19 to April 23. We are guessing if it is popular enough then they may decide to make it a more permanent menu item.
