(PCM) Emmy-award winning TV host Dr. Oz has revealed a surprising new beverage choice that may assist those who are having trouble getting enough rest at night. That beverage is tart cherry juice!
Many individuals who suffer from sleeplessness turn to compounds such as melatonin, which is a natural sleep aid, but what they don’t know is that they are possibly taking it in the wrong way.
Most people will pop some melatonin rather late at night, which does not allow it the 2-3 hours necessary to circulate in the system properly, or they are taking way too much of the compound which renders it ineffective in the long run.
Studies have also shown that consuming one or two glasses of wine before bed may aid in catching some much needed shut eye, but in the long run can really do a number on your overall sleep cycle if used in abundance.
