We are running full steam ahead in the Jane By Design Style Challenge run by ABC Family’s newest show Jane By Design! We are competing for a position as a blogger for the fictional fashion house Donovan Decker and doing our best to impress Donovan Decker’s fashionista in-charge Gray Chandler Murray.
After completing our first challenge which was every girls dream, shopping and videoing our haul, we then recieved an email from Gray’s assistant Jane Quimby letting us know we had passed the challenge and leaving us instructions for challenge #2. If we thought that challenge #1 got our creative juices flowing, challenge #2 really put our creative skills to the test.
We were told to take the plain white t-shirt that was found in our trunk and using materials found around our home or office create a design on the shirt that represents our fashion icon. After giving this quite a bit of thought we came up with the idea of “You Are The Icon”. Basically, we were inspired to create a mirrored look on the front of the t-shirt using old CD’s and DVD’s , that way the shirt can reflect back what it sees (You!), and ultimately shows that everyone’s style can be unique and iconic in their own way.
