PCM was lucky enough to be one of the few sites selected to participate in the Jane By Design Style Challenge run by ABC Family’s newest show, Jane By Design, and interview for a position at Donovan Decker, the fictional fashion company from the show.
To get this three week fashion challenge started, we got a HUGE trunk in the mail filled with items (like two bags of pretzels, an orange baseball cap, etc.) that only came with tags that read “Challenge #1” through “Challenge #7”. We’re feeling a bit like we’re in a Project-Runway-meets-Pretty-Little-Liars crossover… and we love it!
In short, we have no idea what’s in store for us, but if this first challenge is any indication, it’s going to be fun and it’s going to get our creative juices flowing. After each challenge, we must report back to Gray Chandler Murray, the fashionista-in-charge at Donovan Decker, and see if our style savvy, creativity and charming personality impress.
In the envelope for “Challenge #1” was a $50 gift card and we had to go out and use it to buy things that inspired us. That’s right… our first challenge was to shop!
So we shopped (and shopped some more!) and came back ready to share what inspired us… and what better way than with a shopping haul video? Check it out! We got some fabulous (and delicious) goodies.
But now we need your help to come out looking good for Gray. It’s time for you to make a shopping haul video of your own! It’s the holiday season, too, so we know you’ll be purchasing some incredible designs, outfits, trinkets and more all month long. So all you have to do to help is make a video where you tell us all about the fantastic things you got and post it on the Jane By Design Facebook page, making sure to namedrop “Pop Culture Madness” when you do!
We love seeing what people are loving these days and if you’re willing to spend money on it, we know that means you’re pretty passionate about it! So share your passion with us!
