The Biggest Loser eliminated contestant Daphne Dortch was eliminated last week after her teammates deliberatly threw the weigh-in so they could get her off the ranch. Daphne certainly saw it coming, as did all of America, ever since her brother was eliminated and her issues with Conda began to heighten. It didn’t go any smoother once Daphne won the challenge (by eating nearly 2,000 calories of Reeses) and changed the teams by switching Conda and Jeremy. It was obvious the switch-up was part of Daphne’s revenge.
Daphne had a unique and unfortunate experience on the ranch, joining the Biggest Loser nearly two months into filming. She describes the exerience as “nasty” and believes her and her brother didn’t stand a fighting chance:
“It sure was nasty and you know there’s always two sides of every story. We’re filmed 24 hours a day so of course in two hours you can’t possibly see everything that goes on. But as far as how everyone reacted to us in the house, I believe we never had a chance. They (the producers) knew whoever lost the challenge the first night that it was going to be very difficult for whoever came back to bond with the people that were already in the house that had bonded for a month, before we even got there.
So I think that is what it solely came down to. They had formed their bonds after me and my brother had already got back in the house. And I also believe that me and my brother, we’re very strong people. It didn’t take us long to get up to speed with everyone else, you know the first day we were there, we didn’t pass out. The exercise was basically what we had been doing when we were at home. So I think they also saw us as a threat.”
The bitter, eliminated contestant mentioned her issues with Conda and Jeremy on more than one occasion, but would not explain what happened between her and Jeremy, saying, “You know Conda, we had issues in the house, and also with Jeremy there were issues as well too that you would have to ask Jeremy about those issues.” Hmm…
She says she switched Conda and Jeremy out of revenge, suggesting she had something in particular against Jeremy as well, explaining:
“That’s what everyone should be asking me. Everyone knows that I had a beef with Conda and everyone in the house had beefs with Conda.
The question that everyone should be asking me is why would Daphne want to do that to Jeremy, and then unfortunately that’s the question that hopefully one day you guys can ask Jeremy personally. I switched Jeremy and Conda out of revenge. You know it was very personal. I was not thinking clearly, I was thinking from an emotional place and I made the switch.”
When asked what she meant by “why would Daphne do this to Jeremy”, and why can’t she just tell everyone what’s going on, Daphne replied:
“Well you know what, like I said maybe one day you guys can ask Jeremy that. Unfortunately I cannot answer that question. But that is a very good question, why is Jeremy so pissed? Why is Daphne so pissed at Jeremy, that’s a very good question that maybe he can answer one day.”
What is she implying? Did something more serious happen between Daphne and Jeremy that we didn’t see on camera? And why is she being so coy about it??
“Never in a million years did I envision my experience would be what it was…A part of me was extremely relieved to be sent home. I mean it doesn’t feel good to be in a house of people that you know where no one likes you and no one talks to you.”
