(PCM) Chocolate is certainly not the first flavor that comes to mind when you think about brushing your teeth, however Crest is launching several new flavors of toothpaste that will bring new definition to the term sweet tooth. For their new “Be” line the company wil include new flavors such as “Chocolate Mint Trek”, “Vanilla Mint Spark” and “Lime Spearmint Burst”.
No need to fret about the effect the new flavors may have on your teeth, as Procter & Gamble, the company behind Crest, claims that the new flavors will still be good for your teeth and also contain sodium fluoride.
The company also says that the idea for new flavors was generated after then received feedback from customers claiming that the toothpaste was too boring.
Apparently, excessive effort went into crafting just the right flavor combinations for the new line and the company did face some difficulty. A Procter & Gamble spokesperson claimed “We actually use a proprietary flavouring-and-cooling technology that delays the onset of the mint, to let the chocolate make the first impression. Holding back the mint long enough – 30 to 40 seconds – lets the chocolate be satisfying.”
Definitely sounds interesting, but we are curious just how well the new flavors will satisfy. Anything is better than plain, old, boring mint toothpaste, right?
