Today, “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” is officially over!
After 18 years, gay men and lesbians in the military no longer have to hide who they are, and those who were once discharged under this policy can re-enlist. The repeal of the 1993 law known as “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” was signed and into effect today, September 20, 2011.
