Ellen DeGeneres Teams Up With GapKids To Launch A Children’s Clothing Line

(PCM) Ellen DeGeneres has revealed that she has teamed with clothing retailer GapKids to launch a new children’s clothing line. The new clothing line will be one of the first partnerships under Ellen’s new ED lifestyle company, which will officially launch in June.

The GapKids/ED clothing line will be available in August launching just in time for the back to school shopping season. According to GapKids, the new line’s collection for girls will feature tops, bottoms and outerwear, but is not just a clothing line, but more of a social movement.  It is designed to help all girls realize they have the power to do extraordinary things.

When speaking with WWD (Women’s Wear Daily) Ellen said “I am thrilled that my lifestyle brand, ED, is partnering with Gap to encourage young girls to pursue their passion, whether it’s math, science, sports or the arts. Following my passion allowed me to be exactly who I am today — a talk show host with a vibrant side business as a party mime.”

The new clothing line will also include apparel for boys and adults as well, which along with the girls collection will be available in all Gap stores and Gap.com.
