People who exercised at least five days a week had 43 percent fewer days with a cold during the fall and winter than those who workout less often, according to a study from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
But don’t overdo it! Overtraining can weaken your immune system, so if you’re hitting the gym hard 5-7 days a week and can’t shake a cold, it’s time to take a break.
