Free, All-Natural Ways to Get Rid of Dark Circles and Puffy Eyes

Get rid of puffy eyes and dark circles without spending a dollar!? Yes, please!

It all starts with what you do before going to bed, and while you’re sleeping. Skip sweet and salty desserts at nighttime; eating sugar and/or salt before bed dehydrates your skin, which certainly won’t help you look any better in the morning. When you’re laying down for bed, make sure you’re sleeping on a pillow with enough support. Elevating your head with pillows while sleeping helps to keep fluids from gathering around the under-eye area.

If you’re still waking up with puffy eyes, try an all-natural remedy of cucumbers and cold chamomile tea bags. Rest your eyes for a few minutes in the morning, and some of the puffiness should be gone right away. If you’re also dealing with dark circles, try cold, raw potato slices. According to Dr. Oz, they stay cooler longer than cucumber slices, and also have an astringent in them that helps remove water from under the eyes.

And finally, make sure you’re drinking enough water throughout the day. Drinking 8-10 glasses a day (more if you exercise) is the suggested amount to help reduce water retention and improve puffy, baggy eyes.
