Kate Bosworth was absolutely stunning at the Life Happens premiere the other night, wearing a Prada dress and Christian Louboutin heels…but it was her hair and makeup that really stole the show. It’s the best the actress has looked in a while – not that doesn’t always look beautiful!
She just had this natural look about her, her hair parted to the side in loose waves, and her lips stained a bright raspberry hue. So here’s how to get the look – you know you want to!
1. To achieve Bosworth’s side-swept bombshell hairstyle, hair stylist Laini Reeves first conditioned the actress’ mane from roots to ends with Nohona Organic Coconut Oil ($20), says WhoWhatWear. Coconut oil has been in use as hair oil for ages, especially by people living the coastal areas of the world like in Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Burma, Philippines. Coconut oil is said to keep hair strong, vitalized, nourished and protected from effects of ageing; it can even help get rid of dandruff! Oh yeah, and it make stars like Kate Bosworth look amazing! Use the same product her stylist applied, or just pick up some basic coconut oil from a natural food store.
2. After drying her hair, Reeves used a 2-inch curling iron to create lots of loose curls in random sections. “It doesn’t have to be perfect,” she says.
3. To give hair lots of height on top, Reeves had Bosworth flip her head upside down and then blasted her hair on high speed with Sedu’s Revolution 6000i Hair Dryer ($160), but any powerful, ionic dryer will do the trick. Next, Reeves gave Bosworth a very low side part and flipped her hair over to one side. Finally she set Bosworth’s loose, undone curls with L’Oreal’s Elnett Satin Hairspray ($16) for a light hold. Again, any light spray will do!
So easy! This is a simple, quick hairstyle that’s perfect for spring and summer, and just about anyone can do.
And if you love her lip color as much as we do, it’s a mix of two shades: By Terry’s Rouge Terrybly Lipstick in Pink Party, and Tarte’s LipSurgence Natural Matte Lip Tint in Lively.
