A woman was hospitalized last week after eating a “Double Bypass Burger” at the infamous Heart Attack Grill, marking the second time in two months a customer has collapsed from the restaurant’s massive burgers.
The Las Vegas resident in her 40’s was having a great time smoking cigarettes, drinking margaritas, and eating a “double bypass burger,” which comes with two half-pound burger patties and plenty of bacon, before collapsing.
She is currently recovering from the incident, though it’s still not clear what caused her to land in the hospital. While it’s obvious she wasn’t engaging in a very healthy night out and certainly paid the price, it hasn’t been confirmed that she actually suffered from a heart attack.
“She was eating, drinking, smoking, laughing, dancing, having fun,” The Grill’s owner told the Los Angeles Times. “But when you treat your body like that day in and day out, eventually your body is going to give out.”
With warning signs and disclaimers posted in the restaurant that read “This Establishment is Bad for Your Health,” you can’t even blame The Grill. If you’re going to eat something called the “Double Bypass Burger” at a restaurant called The Heart Attack Grill (and a big sign outside that says “Over 350 Pounds Eat Free”), well, you just might get what you ask for.
