(PCM) About twice a month a 50 year old homeless man named David Allen Welsh visits a Vancouver, Washington area thrift shop and coffee house and absolutely wows the shoppers with his extraordinary piano playing skills. He has even moved many customers to tears with his beautiful melodies.
Welsh has been homeless since he was six years old and was never officially taught to play the instrument. He credits God with his amazing ability to play by ear.
Welsh is not looking for any handouts or charity and truly enjoys the reaction and emotion from listeners to what he is playing. He claims that when the listeners are moved and they reach out to embrace him, he will often times weep right along side of them.
