I LOVE FOOD: Carrot Treats!

This week’s I Love Food title is a bit misleading. It isn’t exactly a carrot-FLAVORED treat, but a carrot-LOOKING treat.

I know I highlighted an Easter dessert last week, but I had to take this opportunity to showcase another neat trick I learned about. This one doesn’t even need to be for a holiday; it could be a fun conversation piece at dinner any day you please.

This was actually my friend’s idea, she started off by making Pillsbury croissants. She made a cone out of foil and wrapped the croissant around it so the inside would be hollowed once it cooked. She lathered it up in orange food dye and stuffed them with tuna fish. She also used scallions as a stalk.

I have to say these fascinate me and shows what creativity you could have with a dish as simple as tuna. What a fun and fishy take on carrots!
