This week’s I Love Food feature is all about how to make the chicken “hotta” with the chicken piccata. Okay, so the chicken isn’t spicier or anything, but my mother’s piccata definitely makes plain chicken more flavorful.
The great thing about the piccata is that it’s lighter than a francese, but with less breading there is less guilt. This savory meal is doused in a light lemon sauce and topped with capers, mushrooms, and deliciousness. There are probably many ways for one to prepare a piccata, but only one way to eat it! As Anna Faris would say in the House Bunny, “that’s another word I like – piccata.”
