I LOVE FOOD: Homemade Raviolis

This week’s I LOVE FOOD post is stuffed… with cheese. Enter the ravioli. It is so simple, so Italian, and so delicious all rolled into one square-shaped masterpiece.

These “ravs” my mother bought were very fresh. Now, as an Italian, my mother was disappointed she didn’t make them herself. But, we had to get by with store-bought homemade ravs.

These came from Shop Rite, but are actually from Vita Mia in Lodi, NJ. The best ravioli I have had in awhile. They are so thick, because there is a generous portion of ricotta inside.

Top these little precious carb-packed goodies with a fresh pomodoro sauce. I am personally not a fan of Oregano in my sauce. I like the natural flavors of the tomato to speak for itself by being sautéed in a little garlic and oil. Mangia!
