IHOP Issues Apology For Insensitive Twitter Postings!

(PCM) For the last year or so, IHOP had a fantastic take on social media marketing and attracted a slew of followers with their quirky and tongue-in-cheek humor along with pop culture commentary feature on their Twitter account.

It seems, however, that recently IHOP got a little carried away and made a few Twitter postings that their fans found a bit hard to swallow. The company has since issued a public apology, but many followers are still left with a bad taste in their mouth.

The two twitter postings in questions feature a image of IHOP’s famous pancakes with the comments “flat, but GREAT personality” and “the butter face we all know and love”.  Many found these comments to be both rude and offensive.

The company posted an apology tweet saying “Earlier today we tweeted something dumb and immature that does not reflect what IHOP stand for. We’re sorry”!  The offending tweets have since been removed from the page.
