Jessica Simpson’s Big Weight Loss Reveal

(PCM) After being hush-hush for months about her weight-loss status with Weight Watchers (she’s a new spokeswoman for the weight loss company), new mom Jessica Simpson sat down with Katie Couric on the debut of Katie and finally revealed her post-baby body. Let’s just say, despite a nearly 70-pound weight gain and an admitted initial struggle, the 32-year-old has nothing to hide!

Simpson announced on Couric’s new show that she’s lost more than 40 pounds since giving birth on May 1st, but the weight isn’t coming off nearly as fast she put it on. “During pregnancy, I didn’t really think about it,” she said of gaining weight. “I thought my doctors were telling me that it was just a lot of water and whenever my water broke my whole entire stomach would go down but that did not happen. All the weight did not come out with the baby. I had to stay focused on my diet. I want to be as healthy as I can because I’m a mom now.”

She is currently only 10 pounds aways from her pre-baby weight, but doesn’t deny that it’s been a rough road.

“I definitely don’t pick up the magazines. I definitely don’t Google my name. I try to avoid it completely. But I subconsciously know the talk is going on. Every day it’s a struggle for me. Weight Watchers is not intimidating. It’s not a diet. It’s a lifestyle.”

Simpson wants to be a role model for her new baby, and that means ignoring the “world’s expectations” and just focusing inward.

“I set small goals for myself. I’ve lost weight every week, thank God, but I’ve worked really hard. I have to separate myself from the world’s expectations. I have to look inside myself. I want to be a role model.”

I didn’t realize [the weight] didn’t all come off with the baby
