Man Barred From Legoland Discovery Center Because He Was Not Accompanied By A Child!

St-Onge1(PCM) A self-proclaimed Lego fanatic John St-Onge was recently left feeling incredibly disappointed and discriminated against after he was refused entrance to the Legoland Discovery Center in Vaughn, Canada because he was not in the company of a child.

Despite the fact that his adult daughter, Nicole, was traveling with St-Ongre from their home nearly three hours away in Windsor, Ontario the Legoland Discovery Center still would not budge to allow them entrance to the center. It is very easy to understand why St-Onge would feel discriminated against, as according to him they are painting a label on his back that he is a pedophile and questioning his intentions for wanting to visit the center.

St-Onge has been a huge fan of Legos since he was a small child and his collection is now estimated to include more than 50,000 Lego pieces. St-Onge also has more than just his love of Lego’s as a reason for his expansive collection, as he uses the Legos as a way to stay occupied due to health problems that often times force him to stay indoors. St-Onge is recovering from heart surgery, but also suffers from both diabetes and cancer. These illnesses also prevent St-Onge from flying, so he will most likely never get to experience his ultimate dream of visiting the Legoland store and company headquarters in Denmark.

St-Onge’s daughter said the look on her father’s face when he was denied entrance was like a disappointed child on Christmas morning and the pair are very upset that he was discriminated against for being a senior citizen that happens to enjoy Legos. The general manager of the Vaughn Legoland Discovery Center has released the following statement about the company’s policy:

Legoland Discovery Center’s primary objective is to provide a safe and fun attraction for families with children aged three to twelve years to enjoy together. In order to constantly maintain a welcoming and safe environment in which to play, the Centre does not permit entry to groups of adults, adult couples, or lone adults, who are not accompanied by a child or children under the age of 18.”

Apparently all Legoland Discovery Center’s share the same policy, but they do however offer “adult nights” on occasion.
