The Best And Worst Beauty And Fashion Trends Of 2015

(PCM) With the use of social media and sites such as Pinterest at an all time high, fashion and beauty savvy individuals have more ways than ever share their favorite (and not so favorite) style ideas with the world.

This year we saw many trends emerge and we are giving you a year end look at some of the best and worst beauty and fashion trends of 2015.

The Worst

1.  Over drawn and exaggerated lips.

Kylie-Jenner-lips

Thanks to Kylie Jenner’s Instagram and subsequent lip kit, ladies were desperate to create the same puckered up pout. Many tried and majority failed miserably.

2. Glitter and/or decorated beards

Glitter-beard

Another beauty trend, this one aimed at men, where men were taking the time to decorate and adorn their beards with copious amounts of glitter and random baubles. It just looks ridiculous!

3. Bubble Nails

Bubble-Nails

Having fake acrylic nails is one thing, but styling them to look like some kind of bumpy acrylic bubble blob on your finger tips is just silly. We can’t even see how this nail design could even be functional! They look just awful!

4. Dyed underarm and pubic hair

Armpit-hair

We are normally all about self-expression, especially when it come to hair color, however this hair dying trend has hopefully come to an end. It began as a movement to challenge many of the common beauty standards placed upon women, however dying arm pit and public hair takes the movement to the extreme.

5. Clip In Man Buns

Man-Bun

Need we say any more! Just no! The fact that a Groupon even exists for this is terrifying!

The Best

1. Galaxy and other brightly hued hair colors

2015 was the year of experimental hair color and our favorite by far is the space inspired galaxy hair coloring technique. It is just gorgeous!

2. Contouring

Contouring1

It was all about contouring this year, as more and more people began experimenting with this make-up trick with flawless results. The technique is all about blending darker and lighter colors to highlight the shape of an individuals facial structure.

3. Fringe accessories

Fringe1

Fringe made a huge comeback in 2015! It adorned everything from vests and handbags to sweaters and sandals. The fringier the better we say!

4. Ponchos

Ponchos

Ponchos were a big fashion trend several years ago and once again have made an appearance in 2015. They very versatile and can pretty much go with anything you happen to have in your closet. The perfect way to stay both warm and stylish.

5. A-line Midi skirts

Midi-Skirt

A-line midi skirts are perfectly designed to look fabulous on every body type and can be both dressed up and down depending upon the occasion. Definitely a staple fashion item you should keep in your closets.
