The Heineken Date: A Date to be Inspired By

Chances are, you’re never going to be on a date as cool as this one. I mean, this is one seriously cool club, and an even cooler dude. So unless you can pull Heineken bottles out of your mouth or you know of some secret, magical club/aquarium/dragonland, you probably won’t be taking anyone out on a date like this anytime soon. But hey, shoot for the moon and even if you miss you’ll land on a star, or so the saying goes.

It’s all about the effort. Your date can tell if you put little thought or planning into a date. When you ask someone out on a date it is your responsibility to make sure it is the best date they’ve ever been on! Okay, maybe not the first date – you don’t want to put all your eggs in one basket. But don’t think you can just “wing it”. Unless you’re dating some control freak who has to take control of every outing together, you should have a plan.

The Heineken video might make you feel a little hopeless in your dating abilities, but you can actually use it to your advantage and soon, have your date believing you’re a hopeless romantic! Here are 4 date ideas inspired from the super cool Heineken date you’ll never actually experience…

1. Plan an aquarium date! It’s not corny – in fact, aquariums are pretty awesome. As long as your date isn’t deathly afraid of oceanlife, it’s an affordable, great way to spend the day out of the hot sun, and it’s a date that you’ll both be sure to remember.

2. Take a cooking class together. Most likely you won’t be able to run into the kitchen of a busy restaurant/club with your date to show off your culinary skills. So, why not show them off in a cooking class? Just make sure you don’t make it look like your date is the one who needs to learn how to cook!

3. Head out to a concert. This might not be the best first date, but once you’re at that comfort level where you don’t need talk to each other, a concert is a nice change from the usual dinner and a movie. You can go big and take your date to see the latest and greatest band on tour, or find an awesome band at the local bar. Make it a new ritual in your relationship – check out the new bands each week. Some might become new favorites, and others might not be great, but no matter what you’ll always remember those nights.

4.  If you’re on a tight budget, or just want a night in, have your own Heineken date at home. You can pull out all the stops – show off your cooking skills by whipping up a delicious dinner, play some music and sweep her off her feet. Oh, and don’t forget to pull a Heineken out of your mouth.
