KATY & RUSSELL: Christmas Canceled! Squabbling Perry and Brand spend the holiday miles apart
All Katy Perry wanted for Christmas was. . . time apart? After planning to whisk her family via private jet to husband Russell Brand’s London hometown for the holidays, the singer, 27, changed course, opting to fly to Hawaii with friends. “They had a massive fight,” an insider tells Hot Stuff. “She was like, ‘F–k you. I’m going to do my own thing.’ Russell replied, ‘Fine, f–k you too.’” Come December 25, Perry was splashing around in the Pacific Ocean off Kauai — sans wedding ring — while Brand, 36, was catching up with a pal in a pub in chilly Coverack, Cornwall. Though the pair denied divorce rumors in November, sources say trouble is brewing. “They haven’t split up just yet, but things are not good,” says the source. “The fighting is getting worse.” So will they make it through 2012? Says the confidant, “The split may come soon, but they are both so dramatic and volatile, the relationship could become great again.”
ASHTON KUTCHER: European Romance?
Ashton Kutcher is flaunting a new girl — and sources say he hooked up with her prior to splitting from Demi Moore. The actor, 33, spent Christmas in Italy with screenwriter Lorene Scafaria, 33. Until recently, she was dating Adam Brody, but a source says the new pair have been stoking a romance since meeting in February, when Kutcher tried out for a film she wrote. “Ashton started seeing her while each was in a relationship,” says a source. (His rep says, “They’re just friends.”) The pair cozied up at Yellowstone Club ski resort in Montana December 9, and during their Italian holiday, tooled around in a Porsche and holed up at a private pad. On Christmas Eve, the two held hands over lunch. “They shared spaghetti, and he paid!” witness Alex Thorpe tells Us.
Kristen’s Guitar Gift
Kristen Stewart clearly thinks Robert Pattinson is a rock star: The Twilight actress, 21, just forked over $12,000 for two vintage guitars for her beau, 25, from Norman’s Rare Guitars in L.A.’s Tarzana area. “She said, ‘He’s gonna s–t when he sees them!’” recalls the shop’s owner, Norman Harris, of the December 23 visit. The guitars — a 1959 Fender Jazzmaster and 1947 K&F Lap Steel — will be put to good use: Pattinson plans to record an album!
