Treat Yourself to These Delicious Holiday Cocktails

Cheesecake Martini

1 oz. Strawberry Flavored Vodka

1 oz. Vanilla Flavored Vodka

1 splash(es) cranberry juice

Directions: Fill shaker with ice. Add vodkas and cranberry juice.

Shake and strain into a martini glass. Makes one.

 

Emeril’s Poinsettia Cocktail

1/4 cup vodka

1/4 cup Champagne

1/2 cup cranberry juice

Crushed ice

2 strips orange zest, each about 1/4-inch wide and 2 inches long

Directions: Combine the vodka, Champagne and juice in a large-stemmed red wine glass. Add crushed ice and stir until the mixture is well chilled. Twist the orange strips over the glass, drop them in, and serve.

 

Peppermint Hot Chocolate

4 cups reduced-fat milk

1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar

3 T unsweetened cocoa

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1.5 oz. semisweet chocolate, chopped

6 candy canes (optional)

1/3 cup miniature marshmallows (optional)

1/2 cup creme de menthe or peppermint schnapps

Directions: Combine milk, brown sugar, cocoa, vanilla, and semisweet chocolate in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth, stirring occasionally. Top with candy canes and marshmallows. Garnish with whole grated nutmeg, if desired. Makes 6 servings.
