Your risk of heart disease rises 70 percent if you don’t brush your teeth twice a day, according to The British Medical Journal. Three times a day is best, as too much time between brushings can cause plaque build-up, increasing the risk of gum inflammation and other problems. Don’t brush more than 3 times a day, however, because it can cause irritation and even erote tooth enamel.
Brush gently for two to three minutes – no more, no less! And replace your toothbrush every three or four months , or sooner if the bristles are frayed.
