This week’s I LOVE FOOD post is sinful. I can’t even look at the picture. I have to look away with shame that I consumed so many calories. But, it was so worth it!
My dad always says, “you can eat a lot of calories, just make sure they are worth it. If they aren’t, then it is pointless.” Ain’t that the truth! And, this dish feeds right into his advice.
My family and I ordered this from CJ’s on the Bay in Marco Island, Fla. “Potato chips?” We screeched out in confusion. How can potato chips be an appetizer, let alone their “top dish?”
We were already so intrigued, and then we also got persuaded by the waiter to try them. They are coated in two different kinds of cheeses, so what can go wrong? Nothing! They were amazing.
The waiter brought them out and we didn’t know where to begin. We started picking at each chip, and it was oozing with melted Gorgonzola cheese.
As you can see from the image; it was also doused in chunks of blue cheese crumbles. What made this dish so good was the strength of the chip. These homemade chips were thick enough to withstand the sauce that covered it. Nothing is worse than getting nachos or chips and having half of them get soggy before you can enjoy the whole thing.
If you go to Marco Island, don’t hesitate to indulge in the Homemade Blue Cheese Chips!
