(PCM) This week’s I LOVE FOOD post is a rarity, at least for me. I used to live in Delaware and there is a popular chain (not really chain in the commercial sense, but they have more than one location) that I used to frequent.
The place in Delaware is called Santa Fe. They not only have killed Margarita deals (a huge glass for $3 during happy hour) but they serve pulled chicken quesadillas. Actually, the quesadillas are a bit smaller and $5 during happy hour, which makes them even tastier.
Ever since my leaving Delaware, I have been on search for the perfect quesadilla. Although I enjoy ones with cubes of chicken; it just isn’t the same.
That was until I stumbled up on a place called Tequila, Sal, y Limon in Piermont, NY. Not only is Piermont a pretty location, being located, as the name would suggest, on a pier, but they are home to my new favorite Mexican place.
As the picture shows the chicken itself is shredded and covered in a light sauce. I don’t know what the sauce is, but it does not overpower the chicken at all. It just makes it more tender and I get to joyfully taste the cheese that comes inside as well.
Not only that, but this place gives you free Mexican mudslides after you are done with dinner. They are so delicious I can’t even talk about them without drooling. They taste very similar to a chocolate milkshake, and did I mention they were free?
