This week’s I LOVE FOOD post takes after an old childhood favorite. S’Mores. I can’t tell you what a treat it was when I found marshmallows, Hershey bars, and Graham crackers stowed away in my mother’s cabinet. Once I had all of the ingredients, it was roasting time.
My friend recently brought these cookies over to a friend’s house where we were having “girls’ night” with Sangria, snacks, and girl talk. You’d think that boys, Snooki’s new baby, or where we got our latest boots would have been the topic of conversation. But, we decided to talk about the other thing that girls secretly love – FOOD.
We all could not stop drooling over my friend’s batch of S’More cookies. I couldn’t tell if I was in awe because I never saw them before, or in awe that I never thought of making them for myself.
All she did was literally cook marshmallows with the cookie dough on top of a graham cracker. She later on added the chocolate with just a few minutes left to bake so the chocolate didn’t turn into a cocoa puddle on top.
The only thing I might suggest would be to try Fluff instead of legit “mallows” as the marshmallow part was just a bit chewy. But, it tasted exactly like a S’More except you could eat one after the other with less effort.
