Jenni “Jwoww” Farley stunned a lot of viewers last season with her drastic weight loss, causing many to speculate that she had work done – which she denied. But these days, the Jersey Shore star is looking healthier and better than ever. In fact, sometimes it’s easy to forget how far she’s come since the show premiered just over 2 years ago!
So what kind of diet does she follow to keep up with the tan and toned fist pumpers down the shore? It’s simple. She makes her own food – well, most days of the week! She tweeted, “Have to eat healthy so 5 nights a wk I make my own food… Tedious but worth it.”
Still, she admits, it’s not always easy avoiding temptation. Here’s what she does to fight off her urges:
“Every time I make a healthy meal I wish I were eating a big juicy burger instead. Why is it that the worst stuff tastes the best?! If only the good stuff tasted as yummy we’d all be in terrific shape… But that’s fantasyland, and the reality of it is that even though we may crave the crap, you gotta eat fresh.
One way I make sure to do this is by cooking my own food. When I’m not filming and can just be at home I like to make all my own meals. That way I know what I’m getting and know I won’t be tempted by things that look a zillion times better on a menu somewhere. A good trick I’ve learned through this for making veggies and other “boring” food taste better is to add flavor through spices and preparing with other foods. It’s still not a burger, but it does the body good, and you always feel SO MUCH better afterwards than you would if you actually did eat that nasty burger.”
Cooking for yourself is the best way to control what you’re eating, because you just never know what that “grilled chicken” was cooked in! You may not want to follow all of Jwoww’s ways, but this is one piece of advice worth taking.
