(PCM) In the time it takes you to read this, at least one woman in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and it could be someone you know. Almost every one of us has a mother, sister or friend who is affected by this disease, a disease that more than 300,000 women were diagnosed with in the United States in 2011 alone.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month – a perfect time to get involved and join the ranks in the fight against breast cancer. Join a race, help out with a fundraiser, donate, or even get your company involved in the cause!
You can also share your Milestone of Courage – past, present, and future – via personal photos, posts and photos on the Facebook Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. For every shared photo or quote, Estee Lauder will donate $1 up to $25,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Visit breastcancer.org for more information, from how to get involved to understanding your risks.
