One Picture Can Redeem Some Of Our Faith In Humanity

(PCM) The picture found below, depicting an African American male catching a quick snooze resting his head upon the shoulder of Jewish man on the Q Train has gone viral after a user posted the snap on Reddit.

Many are very touched by the photo and claim that it has restored some of their faith in humanity. The man in the photo, Isaac Theil, claims that he allowed the sleepy subway rider catch a few winks, saying “I simply remembered the times my own head would bop on someone’s shoulder because I was so tired after a long day”.

The photo has been shared over 20,000 times on Facebook and is gaining more and more popularity. Theil is surprised that his small act of kindness is receiving all this attention, but we can certainly hope that it will urge others to take a few moments and put themselves in others shoes and just be good to each other.

Theil goes on to say,  “There is only one reason that I didn’t move, and let him continue sleeping, and that has nothing to do with race. He was simply a human being who was exhausted, and I knew it and happened to be there and have a big shoulder to offer him.”
