The making of the video is almost cooler than the actual commercial. The knife juggling, onion-chopping Dolmans guides us scene by scene of this fascinating commercial. He reads with contortionists, spills coffee stains in the shape of the Mona Lisa, and even beheads himself. Is there anything this guy can’t do?
Dolmans’ character sets some unrealistically high standards for guys looking to plan the ultimate date, but there are 5 things you can do to prepare for an awesome night.
1. Do some homework.
Everybody hates awkward silences so think of a few things to talk about before heading out for your date. Read up on pop culture or have a few funny stories ready in your back pocket in case you run out of things to talk about.
2. Practice good hygiene.
No one wants to go to dinner and a movie with horrible body order. Shower-up before you meet your date and try to be well groomed. Looking put together and clean will let your date know that you care.
3.Pick out your outfit ahead of time.
First dates can be stressful enough. Rummaging through your closet for the perfect outfit five minutes before you’re supposed to pickup your date will only make things more nerve-racking.
4. Be optimistic.
Thinking positively will help you enjoy yourself. Relax, take a deep breath, and get ready while listening to some of your favorite songs. Starting out the date with a positive mental attitude can only make things run more smoothly.
5. Be on time.
Don’t be late for a first date! Being punctual gives off a good impression. No one wants to sit alone at a restaurant for hours.
