(PCM) A travel blogger by the name of Lee Thompson has taken what is perhaps the most awe-inspiring and vertigo inducing selfies of all time on top of the famous Christ The Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Thompson, who was in Rio de Janeiro for the upcoming World Cup, convinced the Brazilian tourism board to allow him to make the climb to the top of the famous statue which sits at 2, 400 feet above Rio.
The story of Thompson’s climb to the top of statue has been documented via his travel blog at Flash Pack travel blog and seems like it was a truly moving and spectacular experience. He also documented the climb with GoPro cameras as well! Also, just in case you were curious, Thompson did not make the climb to the top alone. He had the assistance of two high-wire workman who made the climb along with him.
The experience ended with Thompson capturing one of the most absolutely breath-taking selfies and was definitely a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
