Believe it or not, the beautiful women of Victoria’s Secret do have to work for their bodies. It may not be too hard, as most of them are those naturally thin women we love to hate, but they are putting in the time!
Here are some of their Victoria’s Secret workout tips and exercise plans, revealed by Miranda Kerr, Marissa Miller, Alessandra Ambrosio and your other favorite Angels!
Miranda Kerr – The supermodel and new mom exercises 3 to 4 times per week for 75 minutes at a time with trainer Justin Gelband. Kerr tells StyleList she keeps her exercise regime fairly consistent, and says it “always involves a mix of yoga, low-impact cardio, resistance and functional exercise, combined with high energy training such as boxing or running.”
Marissa Miller – “I like resistance bands because I can travel with them, and it’s easy to watch TV and do it.” The naturally thin model doesn’t have to do much cardio to stay thin, but she still struggles to maintain some shape and muscle tone just like everybody else. “Toning exercises, that’s kind of a big thing for me,” the supermodel said. “I like to keep some of my curves and be a little soft and feminine.”
Erin Heatherton – “I need to pay people to make me work out or I wouldn’t do it,” says Heatherton. She heads to the gym with trainer Lynn Duffy three times a week, for an intense half-hour workout that has her switching between five-minute intervals of sprinting and power-walking on an incline. “It’s exhausting,” she told Vogue. “But then comes my favorite part—a half hour of yoga. I love the way it tones but also loosens you up.”
Alessandra Ambrosio – “Yoga calms me down and also keeps me lean—it makes exercise feel easy,” the 30-year-old Brazilian says about her regular 60-minute yoga sessions. She ups the intensity with Leandro Carvalho’s Brazil Butt Lift workout one month before the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows. “It’s a hard-core mix of squats and dancing to Brazilian music!”
Candice Swanepoel – “My body’s changing as I get older,” she says. “So I’m doing a lot more work with weights to keep muscle tone.” Her favorite exercise? “Kickboxing! I like that, as well as keeping fit, I can protect myself.
