(PCM) A stomach turning discovery was recently made at a San Francisco Chinese restaurant called Lucky River. An employee of the restaurant was caught tenderizing frozen meat outside on a dirty sidewalk.
The question in everyone’s mind after thinking about how disgusting this was, is also just why anyone would be slamming the sidewalk with pounds of frozen meat. The San Francisco health inspector paid a visit to the restaurant and when asked about the incident was told that the employee was only trying to defrost the meat.
The owner of the restaurant urges diners not to worry as the meat has been thrown away and the cook has since been fired. The Lucky River restaurant remains open at this time and they scored an 88 on their last surprise inspection visit from the health inspector back in July where one of their violations happened to include improper food storage.
I don’t know about you, but that would me enough for me to think twice before visiting this establishment. Let’s hope that diners at the Lucky River are lucky and no one gets seriously ill.
