Hollyscoop broke the news on Monday that Michael Phelps has himself a new girlfriend, Megan Rossee, and it turns out that she’s quite the sweetheart!
According to a source, Rossee, a model and waitress, turned down several sponsorships in order to support Michael and his family during the London Games. Megan was offered deals from clothing lines if she agreed to wear them while in the stands cheering on Michael.
“When Megan asked Michael if he thought it was a good idea he said he didn’t care but that his mom wouldn’t be very happy if she did,” the source said.
Out of fear that she might upset Michael’s mom, she decided to make good with the family and turn down the offers. It’s a sweet move from an even sweeter girl. This mama’s boy picked a winner!
Phelps’ sponsors include Kelloggs, Subway, Omega, Speedo, Under Armour and Nike.
On Monday, Hollyscoop learned that Michael and Megan had been dating since January 2012. When she’s not modeling, Megan is a cocktail waitress at Blok nightclub in Hollywood, which opened in June. A co-worker at the club says that Megan is a “sweetheart who is down to earth.”
According to her website, the bombshell is dedicated to pursuing a career in modeling and performing.
When the Olympics wrap up this weekend, Phelps and Rossee plan to take a few weeks to see the sights in London and to travel. If Michael had it his way, she’d quit her job and travel with him full time.
“He wants her to travel the world with him but she hasn’t made her decision yet to quit,” a source told Hollyscoop. “She’s heavily considering it.”
