(PCM) Technology has grown in leaps and bounds over the years and continues grow even more each and every day. That is why it is not too very surprising that the Frito-Lay’s company has created a bag of Tostitos that cares about your personal safety and can literally let you know when you are too drunk to drive and call you an Uber to arrive home safely.
Frito-Lays has partnered up with both Uber and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and created the “Party Safe” bag of Tostitos that has the ability to detect traces of alcohol on your breath. If the bag senses that there is too much alcohol on your breath it will flash red and display a don’t drink and drive message. If the bag does not detect alcohol on your breath it will flash green letting you know that you are sober enough to drive home.
But, wait, there’s more! If the bag flashes red with the don’t drink and drive message, you will receive a $10 Uber discount code. When you touch your smartphone to the bag it will then automatically call an Uber for you to pick you up from your location and get you home safe and sound.
The special Tostitos “Party Safe” bags are being offered for a limited time only and available in conjunction with Super Bowl Sunday in a effort to prevent drinking and driving during the Big Game. It has not yet been revealed where the bags will be available for purchase and if the company has any plans to make them a permanent fixture for their brand in the future.
