(PCM) It is said that nearly everyone in the world has a doppleganger (someone who looks exactly like you), but could you imagine to discover that said person was living only about an hour away from you!
This is just what occurred for two women living in Ireland. 26-year old Niamh Geaney of Dublin discovered her nearly identical twin stranger 29-year old Karen Branigan who resides in the neighboring town of Drogheda. The pair were able to discover each other through the use of social media and a project idea called “Twin Strangers” started by Geaney and two other friends.
The mission for the three friends behind “Twin Strangers” was to find their dopplegangers, living anywhere in the world, in just a month. The three have been using all forms of social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, their official site for the project and of course good old fashioned word of mouth to assist them on their quests.
Obviously, Gearney is in the lead, now that she has discovered her doppleganger was only living about an hour away! Gearney and Branigan’s first meeting was captured on video and uploaded to Youtube, racking up over 5 million views and counting.
