I Love Paninis! I should preface that with I love sandwiches, but a panini is like the Godiva of sandwich-making. In this week’s I Love Food feature, our spotlight is on the panini. More specifically, on THIS one.
If ultimate happiness could be found in pressing several food items into a tight space between two pieces of bread, then this would be next to the definition of bliss in a Webster. This entree is found at the Hoboken Bar & Grill in Hoboken, NJ. Apparently Hoboken isn’t only known for having the most bars per square foot or for being the home of the Cake Boss.
This panini (restrain from drooling please) consists of breaded chicken cutlets, roasted peppers, fresh mozzerella or mozzerell, and pesto-mayo. Not only do all of those foods combine to form a melted explosion of flavor, but the bread of this panini is what sends it into a different realm. The bread is crunchy, with a hint of greasyness. But, the type of greasyness that’s not overwhelming. You can leave the sandwich feeling satisfied and not TOO guilty.
